Dear Dean Sun,
I appreciate all of KGB's help in my finishing the PN course. I
would gladly help in any way I can. Currently, I'm working as GPN as
a PT Tech./Rehab Tech. in Christus Spohn Hospital located in Texas,
USA. I am sending photos thru attachment so you can see how I'm
doing here as a Graduate Practical Nurse. May God Bless you all!
Best wishes,
Chris Rian

Greetings from Mrs. Emelita Tallent in Texas!
Let
me just say it was a pleasure to know the founder
and chairman, Cecille S. Kennedy, Dean Pilar Sun,
Faculty Head Heidi Calupitan, Registrar Armand
Mislang and to all staff of KGSBI.
I want you all to know how much I appreciate your
dedication and commitment. As a matter of fact, you
all tried hard to provide a comfortable fit as
possible for anyone and everyone. Your contribution
of time and energy are more special to us.
My Clinical and practical experience was amazing. To
look back and see how much ground we've covered, it
is amazing the skills we learned to practice in the
profession of Practical Nursing. Clinical
Instructors are knowledgeable, unique and dedicated,
namely Mrs. Sitcharing. Mr. Matthew Cruz and the
other people there are all wonderful.
I believe KGSBI made a difference in our lives and
will bear fruit years down the road. We've been the
fortunate beneficiaries.
Thank you again!
E. Tallent
Well,
to begin with, KGSBI SAP program was really helping
people globally, especially to those who plan
changing careers to health care services like me.I
enrolled in this program thru the guidance of Mr Soy
Mercado and Attorney Chu. Initially we were five
students under him. They were Tonton Seno, Joel
Pantillano, Jerry Aznar, Enoy, and me which we
started in May 2007. It takes a lot of adjustments
especially for me, coz i dont have any background in
the healthcare side. (I was a Mech'l. Engineer in
the Phil. before but was not able to practice it in
the U.S.) I finished my LVN theoritical study in
Feb. 2008, took the clinicals in June -Aug.2008,
which coincided the vacation time for my family, it
was like hitting two birds with one stone, or
business and pleasure as others would call it.
I finished my clinicals with the guidance of all the
staff on campus to mentioned, all the CI's in the
different fields, office people like Stephanie,
Rosyl, Arman, Dr. Calupitan, Ma'am Sun, and others.
There were some gliches or should we say , some
issues along the way, but that was expected. but
then again the management had taken cared of it and
solutions formulated to improve those aspect or
situations. I did a self review in Oct. 2008 for
NCLEX exam. which i took last December 15, 2008 for
the state of west virginia and passed it. I filed a
reciprocity or endorsement so that i can practice my
LVN license in the state of texas, since texas is my
home state.
In January, 2009, i found a job in a nursing home as
Charge nurse caring for 25 patients in the skilled
unit meaning, patients mostly on G-tube (enteral
feeding, tracheostomy, colostomy, you name it, its
all in there..)it was a great opportunity for me to
learn and i was trained as treatment nurse also on
week ends.It was a fun and exciting job for more
than 3 months. I resigned on that job, as im ready
to take another challege, this time on the home
health care, paying good money for LVN's. Im
presently working as Quality Assurance LVN in the
home health setting. My job right now is not a
direct patient care but its an office work auditing
all documentations on all RN's and LVN's working in
the field.
I am very thankful to Cecille Kennedy (the owner)
who created this program that makes my life easier,
making good money than in the nursing homes or
hospitals and less stressful work in the end. So
again more power to you guys!... God Bless!...
